The Deliciousness of Strangers

Very early this morning over coffee I read a written piece about falling in love with strangers. For some of us it happens all the time. In line at the post office,on an elevator,on the train during morning commute, or just driving casually on a country road and there they are walking on the sidewalk. Often enough, even in photographs. There they are. It's always immediate too. You see something in them that lights up something in you. It feels eerie.. yet delicious. Sometimes it's a spark that burns brightly in that moment then fades along with their absence. Kind of like "hey, I recognize you" and maybe you go your separate ways.

It isn't always in their appearance either. For me it can be a gesture or a turn of phrase or a good joke told well and overheard by my eavesdropping. More often than not, however.....it is in the eyes of that stranger.
You catch a glimpse of each other, quite often by accident......and there it is.
You can almost see the golden thread of Fate connecting you.

"Hey, I recognize you."
