Flesh & Bone

Human nature requires idols and heroes. A taste of something more than the colorless, mundane soup of everyday life. So with hope, yearning and rabid hunger we construct our heroes, our idols. We stand them on golden pedestals and wrap them in impossible robes of phenomenon ....worshiping blindly, their tarnished souls and kissing their dirty feet.

Sad is the day these poor penny dreadful's stumble and fall under the weight of thunder bolts they can no longer carry, blazing fires they can no longer hold in their tired hands. Like starving hyenas we circle 'round them waiting to tear into flesh and bone for having failed us. We ask that they bare their back so that we may flog and gnaw and feast at their table of misfortune.

Sipping from golden goblets filled with their blood. Demanding they be more than flesh and bone......
